The same governance questions return in AI, cybersecurity and climate work: who owns the decision, what counts as evidence and what happens when conditions change?
Ema Petrović · An independent point of view
I write about what happens after the strategy.
When AI, cyber rules, climate data and transformation plans reach a real organisation, the interesting part begins. I explore how good ideas become decisions, systems and everyday practice.
Working position
The space between a good framework and a working organisation.
That is where I spend most of my time. Professional projects give me the evidence; writing gives me room to examine the patterns behind them.
“Transformation rarely fails because people lack another framework. It fails in the distance between the framework, the decision and the person expected to act.”
Whether compliance can ever be useful when it is separated from operations — and whether innovation is responsible when nobody can explain its consequences.
Ideas that can become a conversation, a decision, a working tool or a programme people can continue without the consultant in the room.
Notes & essays
Ideas in progress, written from practice.
This is where the site becomes distinctly mine: analysis, questions and arguments shaped by work across technology, regulation, sustainability and organisational change.
Responsible AI needs an operating model, not another list of principles.
Principles matter, but they do not decide who can approve a use case, what evidence is sufficient, when human review is meaningful or who stops a system that is behaving badly.
01NIS2 is a management redesign disguised as a cyber directive.
The difficult part is not naming more controls. It is making accountability, supplier risk and evidence visible across legal, management and technical teams.
Read the working draft 02Your carbon footprint is also a test of data governance.
Before a company can reduce emissions, it has to understand where operational data lives, who trusts it and which assumptions can survive scrutiny.
03Tools & digital products
Ideas should leave something useful behind.
This section shows the product direction. Nothing is presented as available for sale until the content, format, rights, delivery and price are final.
Ema Opportunity Radar
A structured system for finding, evaluating and preparing applications for calls, tenders, consulting assignments and remote opportunities — with evidence and approval safeguards built in.
NIS2 Management Brief
A bilingual working guide with five management questions, an accountability map, an evidence register and a supplier-assurance checklist.
Responsible AI Decision Canvas
A practical canvas for testing purpose, ownership, impact, data, human oversight and the conditions for stopping an AI use case.

About
Ema Petrović
Consultant, programme designer, trainer — and a persistent translator between disciplines.
For more than 18 years, I have worked across sectors, institutions and regions. I am most useful when a problem refuses to stay inside one discipline: when technology becomes a governance question, law becomes an operating question, or sustainability becomes a question of data and decisions.
